The Strand<\/p><\/div>\n

Im Reisef\u00fchrer steht: Townsville hat 360 Sonnentage. In der Nacht f\u00e4ngt es so richtig stark zum regnen an. Auch noch in der Fr\u00fch regnet es. Da haben wir wohl EINEN Regentag von den F\u00fcnf Tagen erwischt. Jedoch bereits um 09:00 scheint die Sonne, alle Wolken haben sich verzogen. Haben wir schon erw\u00e4hnt, dass es alle Tage \u00fcber 30 Grad hat.<\/p>\n

The Strand<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Wir wollen heute mit dem Bus in die City fahren, aber das funktioniert nicht so richtig. Nach l\u00e4ngerem hin und her rufen wir uns ein Taxi. Dieses bringt uns an „The Strand“. Ich musste echt Googlen und der sagte mir, dass der Strand auch im englischen Strand oder nat\u00fcrlich beach hei\u00dfen kann.<\/p>\n

The Ocean Siren<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Bereits 1860 wurden die ersten H\u00e4user entlang der K\u00fcste errichtet. 1883 wurde die Promenade entwickelt. 1910 hie\u00df sie „The Strand Park“ und 1999 wurde sie nach der Zerst\u00f6rung eines Zyklons neu angelegt.<\/p>\n

Der Strand ist eine 2,2 km lange Promenade mit vielen Hotels und auch Wohnh\u00e4usern. Leider keine Gesch\u00e4fte und viel zu wenig Pubs. Am Strand selbst gibt es immer wieder abgegrenzte Schwimmbereiche.<\/p>\n

Hier gibt es viele Quallen und an jeder Ecke h\u00e4ngen Informationen was zu tun ist im Notfall. Ich verkneife mir das Baden gehen.<\/p>\n
