Wir beschlie\u00dfen den Kanal in der Fr\u00fch zu durchqueren.<\/p>\n<p>In der Fr\u00fch wird \u00fcber Kanal 11 die Channel Authority gerufen und wir sollen gleich kommen. Anscheinend haben wir ein bi\u00dfchen zu viel getr\u00f6delt, so wurden wir wieder zur\u00fcckgeschickt. Kaum war der Anker gefallen, riefen sie uns wieder zur\u00fcck. Also diesmal ganz schnell Anker auf und Gas geben, schnell l\u00e4ngsseits anlegen und die Formalit\u00e4ten inklusive bezahlen erledigen. Ferry mu\u00dfte zur\u00fccklaufen, denn wir hatten schon die Freigabe zur Durchfahrt.<\/p>\n<p>Wir wussten das dieser Kanal der teuerste der Welt ist, aber \u00fcber 200\u20ac f\u00fcr nur 3 sm ist doch ganz sch\u00f6n. Die Wassertiefe betr\u00e4gt 8m, die schm\u00e4lste Stelle ist 24m und die Felsw\u00e4nde ragen knapp 80m in die H\u00f6he. Das Bauwerk entstand zwischen 1881 und 1893, jedoch schon Kaiser Nero lie\u00df 67 n. Chr. erste Bauarbeiten einleiten. Die Idee ist noch \u00e4lter, denn der Tyrann Periander von Korinth entwarf schon im 6. Jh vor Chr. erste Skizzen.<\/p>\n<p>Uns hat er gefallen und niemand hat von der Br\u00fccke gespuckt so wie ich vor 35 Jahren. In einem gro\u00dfen Teil des Kanal ist es k\u00fchl und schattig, die Natur hat sich angepasst und Teile zur\u00fcckerobert. Wir waren zwar nicht die ersten bei der Durchfahrt, aber wir genossen das Bauwerk trotzdem.<\/p>\n<p>nach einem kurzen Stopp ging es in den Fischerhafen von Korinth. Dort k\u00f6nnen wir l\u00e4ngsseits festmachen wo uns ein Engl\u00e4nder aus Plymouth hilft. Er lebt hier schon seit 10 Jahren und d\u00fcrfte den Seglern gerne helfen.
